Hello! Yes, I'm still here...sorry it's been so long since the last post. It's been a busy month for the Buck Family. Sienna has been enjoying her Spanish class at school She can count to 10, and can say "My name is Sienna (me llamo Sienna)" Her Spanish teacher, Ms. Aeyola, says she is doing very well and gets very excited in class.

We have been struggling a little with Sienna - she has officially moved into the Terrible Twos with throwing herself on the floor when she doesn't get her way. She is more and more stubborn about things. She also now requires that I come back into her room after I put her down to sleep ("Mommy, mommy, mommy, momomomomomomomyyyyyyy....) Argh. It's frustrating, but it has been better the last couple of nights so maybe we have turned this corner. A few mornings ago Alan was trying to give Sienna some kisses and she wanted nothing to do with it. "I need some space, Daddy!" Yes, she needs some space. Even with all that said, she is still very entertaining and can be so sweet.

Mimi and Pops came up one weekend and we had a great time. Mimi had to go to "school" (a continuing ed class) on Saturday, so Sienna and I hung out with Pops. He got to experience Freedom Park and Brixx, which is always fun.

We hosted our first Supper Club in Charlotte on September 12th. Most of the members were able to make the trip up from Columbia, which was great! Tacos were served and fun was had...especially by Sienna since Jack was able to make it. It was like old times back on Sumter Street watching the two of them have fun together. :)

This past weekend Heather B and Stephen came up from Greenville. The Kings also joined us for most of the weekend (hooray for pack-n-plays!!) Alan ran a 10k on Saturday and we went out to cheer him on. While we were waiting for him to come by, Sienna kept asking "is that my daddy?" The police officer manning the race began to wonder if I was there just looking for a father for my child!! But then Daddy ran up to great us. Run, Daddy, Run!!

The girls enjoyed a trip to Ikea ("it's only $1.99!!") while Alan and the kids took a nap after the race. Sunday morning we went to Festival in the Park where we started out having fun, but ended with a race against the nap clock. Here's where Sienna met a friendly dog...

We did get in a great photo session at The Secret Garden Megan and Jeff discovered. It was such a cool place, and the weather was fabulous.

This may be why Stephen and Heather B don't have kids.... ;)

Notice how Will is looking at Sienna like she is crazy!

Grandmama and Grandpapa also came up this past Sunday. They left for their trip, and needed a Sienna fix. Grandpapa got some great shots of Sienna when we went to the playground. Doesn't she look like Firestarter??

Finally, we did receive bad news this month. After 2 trips to the vet which included blood work, x-rays and an ultrasound, we were told that Callie has liver cancer. It's very advanced, so we will just keep her an comfortable until we start seeing the signs that she is in pain. We have been very sadden by this news, but yet Callie is still pretty much the same right now, so it also doesn't quit seem real yet.

More later!
